About Me

My name is David Tack, and I was born and raised in EGF (class of '92!). I received my undergraduate and Master's degrees from MSU Moorhead. After graduation I taught and coached for 13 years at Fargo South & Fargo North high schools. I received my PhD in Education from UND, and was an associate professor at MSU Moorhead for 13 years. My family and I moved back to town in 2016, and I worked at UND, and later was a teacher, instructional coach, and the AVID district director in the GF Public Schools. I still work for UND athletics as a PA announcer for women's basketball, and as the promo emcee for football and hockey. I am very excited to be back in the classroom as a Language Arts teacher at Central Middle School.

My wife, Stacey, is a nurse at Altru, and I have two incredible kids who also go to EGF: Gabby and Brooks. Gabby has been a varsity swimmer for GFC since 7th grade, and Brooks has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and plays football and baseball.
