Hello! My name is Ali Swang. I am a first grade teacher at New Heights. This is my tenth year teaching. I received my bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota along with my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Saint Mary's of Minnesota.

I myself, grew up in East Grand Forks and am happy to continue to call this community my home. I live with my husband, Justin and our three children, Ellery ,Corban and Gus.

When I am not at school, I stay very busy running my children around to sports and other activities. Some of my personal hobbies include planting and landscaping design, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

My love for teaching and learning is why I chose to be an elementary teacher. I love watching my students grow and develop into life-long learners.
