Mr. Oliver

Mr. Oliver

I graduated from Moorhead State University and have been teaching and coaching in the East Grand Forks School District since 2010. I am currently a physical education teacher in grades 9-12 and assistant boys high school hockey coach. I truly enjoy coming to school every day. Each day I really want my students to come to class excited to learn and participate to the best of their ability.

During my time in East Grand Forks I have been part of an 8AAA Section Football Championship and State Participant Team and in hockey five Section 8A Championships and two State High School Hockey Championships. I feel fortunate to be part of East Grand Fork’s winning traditions and commitment to excellence.

I believe everything we do in education is preparation for life. Students who participate in physical education classes, or become a member of an athletic team, are learning important skills to help them be successful in life. Students learn cooperation, perseverance, teamwork, confidence and self-discipline. My goal is that students learn that respect counts, hard work is important and learning is fun.
