Hello, I am Ms. Hinojosa!
π About me:
I was born in Mexico, and Spanish is my first language.
I began learning English at age 12, after moving to Minnesota.
My journey as an English learner inspired me to become a teacher. My EL teachers made a big difference in my life β they gave me the tools to succeed and were a source of encouragement and support. Now, I hope to be that same person for other immigrants and for all students.
β₯οΈ Family life:
I am a proud mom! My son is currently attending Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.
I enjoy food β both cooking at home and trying new restaurants.
I travel to Mexico every year to visit my parents and extended family.

This is my first year at Central Middle School (2024β2025).
Before this, I taught EL and Spanish for six years at my former high school in Worthington, MN.
