What I'd Like You to Know About Me...

My husband, Matt, and I just celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. Matt is a civil engineer at Minnkota Power Cooperative in Grand Forks. We have four children! Their names are Wyatt (12), Brooks (11), and Maxson (9) and Lyric (15 months). We love to spend time at the lake! My boys and I are avid fishers. We love to fish in the summer and also go ice fishing in the winter. We enjoy spending time outdoors doing various activities as a family.

I grew up in Grand Forks, ND. I went through the Grand Forks Public School District and graduated from Central High School in 2005. I then went on to the University of North Dakota where I played basketball and threw javelin for the track team. I graduated there with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Kindergarten Endorsement and a minor in Special Education. I completed my master's degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in K-12 Administration from MSUM in May (2021). I am currently enrolled at MSUM again this fall to wrap up my Minnesota Principal Licensure & working towards my second master's degree as a Specialist in Educational Leadership.

I am passionate about teaching and helping students develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally. I believe relationships are key and an important component to a child's success. It is going to be a GREAT year!
