Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am excited and ready to face the challenges of distance learning and I will strive to ensure your child’s educational needs are met. I understand that these are uncertain times and I will work with students and families to make the distance learning plan as convenient as possible as we all adapt to this new learning environment. Parent and student input is valued and I would encourage everyone to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have during this process. Listed below is how I will use my Distance Learning plan.
I will be utilizing Google Classroom to disperse all information and assignments. Your son/daughter knows how to log into their Google Classroom. Have them show you what it looks like on their computers.
All required assignments, materials, links, and instructions will be posted to Google Classroom by 9:00 am each school day.
My office hours will be held from 7:45 - 8:20 am as well as 3:20 - 3:45 pm
Email will be the preferred method for students and parents to contact teachers.
I will provide direct instruction using Educreations, Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc . All of these will be recorded and posted on Google Classroom as well.
I may have question and answer contact with your son/daughter via the same methods listed above, but they are not required unless they want to be a part of it….these times and dates will be listed on Google Classroom as well.
If a student becomes a temporary distance learner, he/she will need to attend class via Zoom. Students will be able to use Google Classroom to hand in any assignments during this time.
