I was raised on a farm just outside of Hendrum, MN, attending and graduating from Norman County West High School. I obtained bachelors degrees in Psychology and Human Services from Valley City State University (Go Vikings!). After graduating from VCSU, I made a big move to Greeley, Colorado to attend graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado (Go Bears!). I obtained an educational specialist degree in school psychology while enjoying a scenic mountain view. I also learned that it is better if I stay OFF of the mountains, and just admire them from a distance. I returned to Minnesota after accepting a position at the Area Special Education Cooperative (ASEC), and have been here ever since!
I love being a school psychologist, as I am passionate about education, mental health, and student advocacy. Whether it’s academically, socially, behaviorally, and/or emotionally, I always aim, first and foremost, to think about what is best for the child.
