I graduated from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI with a BSE in Elementary and Early Childhood Education (1997) and a MAE in Reading (2000) including both a WI Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist license. I began my teaching career in southern WI teaching early childhood, followed by several years as a first grade teacher and Title I Reading Interventionist in LaCrosse, WI. After staying home with my own children for a number of years, I returned as a Reading Specialist/Interventionist in Holmen, WI where I taught until moving to Grand Forks, ND in 2018. Although starting with the EGF School Readiness program in 2019 marked my first teaching position in MN, I have lived in several areas of MN.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, remodeling our house and spending time with my husband, four children and our dog.
