FAFSA
There are many ways to receive Financial Aid to help pay for a 2-year, 4-year, or trade school.
First, there is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application opens every year on October 1st and students do not have to know what college they are attending yet to complete it.
How to Fill out the FAFSA
Students need to create a FSA ID. If parents are helping pay for college, parents will also need to create a FSA ID.
Students and parents collect their tax documents and fill out the FAFSA Application
What Do I Need to Fill Out the FAFSA?
Students (and parents) review the Student Aid Report (SAR) which can appear 3 days to 3 weeks after submitting the FAFSA. Complete the rest of the steps your school of choice needs.
