Each March the Goff Drama Club presents a musical!  Performances are held in the Columbia High School Auditorium.  

Being part of a theatrical production such as a musical has many benefits.  Students improve in a wide range of areas; self-confidence, self-esteem, self-expression, communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, aesthetic awareness and imagination.  Specific to musicals, students foster their vocal, dance, movement and visual arts skills; as the drama club serves as an extension of the Music, Visual Arts & Physical Education classrooms.

Auditions for our March 2025 production of Matilda JR. are open to students in grades 6-8.  Audition information will be posted in the Goff Musical Auditions Google Classroom beginning on November 4, 2024.

If you are interested in auditioning please complete the required Pre-Audition Google Form (The form will be posted on November 4th along with the music excerpts for you to prepare).  It and all musical related communication will be through Google Classroom.  After reviewing and completing the google form, and reviewing the audition materials (characters & songs) in classroom, if you have any questions, or need more information, please come to the meeting on Nov. 7th.

Info. Meeting-Date: Thursday, November 7th, 2:50-3:50, Goff Chorus Room.  There will be a make up meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13th for those who are unable to attend on the 7th.  Only attend once.  The meeting is OPTIONAL, but we highly recommend 6th graders and any 7th or 8th grader who did not audition last year attend.  

Auditions (Required) will be held November 19th & 20th.                                        

Important Musical Date Requirements

Students must be available after school:                                                                                                                                          

November 19th or 20th (auditions - attend once)

December 3rd ( callbacks for select students)

December 5th, & 12th (full cast meetings)

January and February every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

March 3rd-6th 3 PM - 6 PM every Monday-Thursday

Tech Rehearsal: Saturday, March 8th 12 PM - 4:30 PM

Tech Rehearsal Week:  March 10-12 3:00-6:00pm

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, March 13th 3:00-8:00pm

Performance Weekend:  March 14th & March 15th
The Performances are March 14th @ 7pm & March 15th @ 2pm & 7pm at Columbia High School.
