I am an elementary teacher turned elementary school librarian in 2017. During my graduate program I was lucky to be placed with the most amazing librarians for my field work who did a Mock Newbery projects. (Thank you Stacey & Annie!)

This inspired me to start a Mock Caldecott project in my own school when I got my first job. As you'll see from the pics and resources here, I keep extending what we do.

I LOVE this project. Students become so invested in their reading and their books and the conversations they have as they become involved in the project are thrilling to hear!
