The Elementary Bilingual Achievement Program (EBAP) is a new program designed to recognize and celebrate students in Kindergarten - 5th grade who demonstrate proficiency development in an additional language. Participating students have the opportunity to self-select any language they would like to learn, either independently or with a family member, and showcase their skills through completion of a variety of tasks and activities to earn the Elementary Bilingual Achievement Award. Students can obtain the Elementary Bilingual Achievement Award annually for their particular grade level by building on their skills from year to year.
By obtaining the Elementary Bilingual Achievement Award, students are encouraged and empowered to continue their studies beyond elementary school to pursue the New York State Seal of Biliteracy in high school.
