Anything a student tells me will be held in confidence EXCEPT: 

• Disclosure of child abuse (him/herself or another child)

• Disclosure of intent to harm him/herself 

• Disclosure of the intent to harm another person

These disclosures are cause for mandatory reporting to the proper authorities (police, health and human services, parents, etc.)
