MONDAY, November 6

Kick Off & Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt activity sheets will be distributed in your Economics class or you can pick one up in the Counselor's office.

This activity is to encourage you to interact with your teachers and school staff and learn about their post-high school experiences. Complete the activity sheet, turn it in to the counselor's office and be entered to win a prize! 

TUESDAY, November 7

Career Fair (9:25-11 am)

(Employers & Military Recruiters)

Students interested in joining the workforce or having a career in the military after high school graduation are encouraged to attend the Career Fair. Find out who’s hiring and what is required to work the jobs available in our area. This fair is geared towards students who may be looking for a job with little to no higher education requirements. Recruiters from several branches of the military will also be present. 

WEDNESDAY, November 8 

Probe College Fair (2-3:30 pm)

Representatives from 50+ colleges and universities nationwide will be on campus. This event is open to all Juniors and Seniors interested in learning more about post-secondary education. 

THURSDAY NIGHT, November 9

Financial Aid Presentation (5-6 pm)

A representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) will present information on financial aid, including what to expect on the new FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Students are able to file a 2024-25 FAFSA in December 2023. This session will be held in the SEHS Media Center. 

THURSDAY & FRIDAY, November 9-10

Apply to College/Career Days (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Seniors will be given the opportunity to apply to college, jobs, and/or create a resume.  Counselors will be available to assist students as they work on their application(s) for college admission. Mrs. Smith, our Work-Based Learning Coordinator, will be available to assist students with job applications/exploration and creating or polishing a resume. Students must sign up for this event and will receive a pass to come to the media center during an assigned time.
