Lancaster's 6th grade SS

I have lived in Effingham County all of my life. I have been teaching for 25 years. I graduated from Armstrong State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades education (science and history) and a minor in physical science. I then completed my Masters of Education in Middle Grades - Science, from Georgia Southern University. I have taught Earth, Life, and Physical Science through the years and enjoy each one. I have also taught history and geography. My hope is to foster a love of learning in general to my students so that they see it is a part of their everyday life. I hope that studying geography, culture, and economics of various cultures around the world will help students understand the impact that a people can have.

I am married to my best friend, Lee. He and I have four wonderful children between us. We are very blessed and are truly thankful for them and for how they enrich our lives. Although they are grown and out of school, they all know where "home" is! We are the proud grandparents to Rachel, Damon, Staci, Brandon, Rowan, Trey, Fiona, Lillith, Natalie, and Tristan! We are also great-grandparents to great-grandson, Carter!
