One of the reasons that Field Elementary is so wonderful is the community that is involved. Parents, teachers, students and alumni pitch in to help our children and their school be successful. 2023-2024 PTA Fundraising & Efforts
$200 Teacher Grants for classroom purchases
$1000 Grant for STEAM program
$1000 Grant for Musical Theater program
Was awarded a grant to purchase an inclusive swing
Researched processes and procedures to purchase new playground equipment - order has been placed & will be installed at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year to include the grant purchased inclusive swing & an inclusive momentum corridor
Began translating PTA flyers into Spanish, Swahili & Russian in DEI&B efforts
Provided Field students a free skate night, including free skate rentals, & free admission for friends & family
Provided the front office with a translation device
Celebrated Field Students during Kentucky Kids Day, hosting a Twisted Tuesday, handed out sunglasses to all students (their future is so bright they have to wear shades) & provided Outshine popsicles to all Field Students
Brought back in-person General PTA meetings, w/ a virtual option
Supported the Virtual Reality Program
Family Fun Events like Fall Festival and International Trunk & Eat
Purchased an inflatable movie screen
Made efforts to connect with the community by joining the Frankfort Avenue Business Association (FABA) & Crescent Hill Community Council Board
Hosted the temporary tattoo table and provided Pokemon cards to students for the Pokemon themed STEAM night
Teacher Appreciation - upgrades to the Teachers Lounge, Hatitude, lunches, provided coffee donated by Heine Brothers, gift cards courtesy of Heine Brothers, breakfasts & more!
Hosted a clothing drive for JCPS' Clothing Assistance Program (CAP), & coordinated & participated in (2) CAP volunteer days
Coordinated various volunteer efforts to include Field Families for Field Trek, teacher holiday breakfast, Fall Festival, Field Day, the FABA Easter Parade & Book Fair
Created, participated & had a large turn out for the Field float in the FABA Easter Parade, winning a "Bunny Participation" award, & promoted Field's FABA Easter Parade float on WDRB the week of
Submitted (3) 15th District Award Winners (Educator of the Year - Dr. Rivera, FRYSC - Mr. K & Nurse - Katie Holton) & various PTA Membership awards
