I have been teaching here at Parsons since 2006 ( i think). It is hard to keep track now that we are getting up there in years! For most of my time here, I have taught 8th grade with a short stint in seventh. I have always taught language arts as I am a lover of words and their power. I truly believe that each student, if they harness the positive power of words, can change the world. In addition to teaching language arts, I have been a WEB advisor for ten years and have coached several sports.

Outside of school I am married. My husband is also in education. WE have three beautiful kids ranging from sixth grade to a senior in high school. My family is my life and next to that school is a close second.

I look forward to each year and watching your children grow, and this year will be no different. I also love partnering with parents to make school a positive place for each and every student.
