Monday, December 15. It's time for our annual Holiday Secret Book Exchange! Each child will draw a name and wrap a book for their secret friend. Let's spread some holiday cheer through the gift of reading!
Friday, December 19. As my Christmas gift to the children, I enjoy treating them to a pancake breakfast, along with sausage and juice. This will be on the last day of school before the holiday break.
Friday, December 19. We'll stuff stockings with goodies (throughout the week), decorate sugar cookies, and have a secret book exchange. The children may bring goodies to put in each classmate’s stocking. For decorating sugar cookies, we need your help. We need 30-35 baked, undecorated sugar cookies, tubes of icing, and holiday decorating sprinkles. As a reminder, our class parties are rewards for students who give their best effort in school and demonstrate positive behavior.
It's the most wonderful time of the year to switch up our classroom management. It's our 12 Days of Giving countdown to the Christmas holiday. The children love being able to give to their classmates in a way they haven't before. It's fun to see how excited they get when gifting to others.
