ELA - Identify and write simple, compound, and complex sentences in our mentor sentence study. Use pictures to learn informational text reading skills. Standards review for state testing. Weekly reading point goal of 12 cumulative points (48%) due Friday; trimester reading points goal reached by May 29.
Math - Unit 7 Multiplication of Mixed Numbers; Geometry, Graphs. Use rules, tables, and graphs to compare real-world relationships and solve problems. Unit study guides and test this week.
Science - Reducing Human Footprint. Students explore how human actions affect the environment and what we can do to reduce those effects. Standards review for state testing.
Social Studies - Causes of the Revolution - Students study events that led up to the American Revolution.
Wednesday, April 15. Studio 530 Photography will be here -- no need to pre-order. Your child will bring home their online access code on picture day. You will get an email and be able to see their pictures online, choose different backgrounds, and place your order just a few days after picture day! If you prefer to place your order by paper form, those will be available in the school office on picture day.
On Friday, April 17, progress reports will be sent home. Kindly review and sign the report, returning it by Tuesday, April 21. You may access your child's assignments and grades in PowerSchool. Students are encouraged to improve their learning by correcting and resubmitting daily assignments below a C. Additionally, test scores of D or F can be improved to a C by completing corrections.
Students should earn weekly points to reach a total of 25 reading points by May 29 (goals may vary based on student reading skill level). The dates and cumulative point goals are posted on our Class Website (Google Calendar) and listed here:
