ELA - Greek Latin 1-7 auto, man this week. Identify and write with simple subjects and simple predicates in our mentor sentence study. Begin learning and using strategies to write a narrative story. Weekly reading point goal of 8 cumulative points (53%) due Friday; individualized trimester reading points goal reached by November 6.
Math - Unit 2 Whole Number Place Value & Operations. Students use U.S. traditional multiplication to multiply multidigit numbers. They use the relationship between multiplication and division to mentally divide multidigit numbers.
Science - Properties of Matter. Make observations and measurements to identify materials based on their properties.
Social Studies - U.S. States & Regions. Students study the geography, culture, and government of the Native Americans of North America and create a team poster.

Wednesday, September 23. Studio 530 Photography will be here for Fall Pictures. No need to pre-order! Your child will bring home their online access code on picture day. You will get an email and be able to see their pictures online, choose different backgrounds, and place your order just a few days after picture day! If you prefer to place your order by paper, those will be available in the school office on picture day.

Progress Report
On Friday, September 25, progress reports will be sent home. Kindly review, sign, and return it by Tuesday, September 29. You may access your child's assignments and grades in PowerSchool. Students are encouraged to improve their learning by correcting and resubmitting daily assignments below a C. Additionally, test scores with a D or F may be improved to a C by completing corrections.

Riffle Raffle
Riffle Raffle
It's that time of year to sell Riffle Raffle tickets to raise money for our classroom (e.g., parties, MiraMart prizes, T2 movie treats, birthday treats). Winners of the Riffle Raffle will be chosen at the Sundial Bridge Festival on Saturday, October 17.
You may get tickets to sell from your child’s teacher. If you sign the permission form sent home last week, you will receive 1 envelope containing 5 tickets. Once you sell those 5 tickets, return the ticket stubs and corresponding money to your teacher, and you may then request more tickets if you wish. Our goal is for every student to sell at least 5 tickets.
IMPORTANT: Any tickets not sold must be returned to the school. There is a $5 charge for each lost ticket.
