3-Day Skilled Electrical Technician Program
(Designed as a Foundation + Practical Skills Workshop)
Day 1 – Basics & Safety
Introduction to electrical trade & workplace safety
Tools and measuring instruments (tester, multimeter, clamp meter, megger)
Types of wires, cables & switches
Hands-on: Basic circuits (series & parallel with lamps)
Safety module: Electric shock, first aid, fire safety, PPE
Day 2 – Domestic Wiring & Installations
Overview of household wiring systems (single-phase supply, earthing, MCB, DB)
Installation of switches, sockets, ceiling fan & tube light
Practical: Domestic circuit wiring (1 lamp, 1 fan, 1 socket)
Introduction to solar & inverter connections (awareness level)
Testing & troubleshooting basic faults
Day 3 – Machines, Maintenance & Employability
Introduction to motors, starters & transformers (awareness + demo)
Maintenance practices: replacing fuses, rewiring, checking continuity, repairing connections
Hands-on: Identify & fix simple faults in a domestic circuit
Customer service & workplace etiquette
Employability & career pathways in electrical trade
Final assessment: Short test + practical demonstration

Perform basic domestic wiring & small installations

Be job-ready as a Skilled Electrical Technician with basic to intermediate level of
training .
