Welcome to Special Education

Welcome to the El Dorado Union High School District (EDUHSD) Special Education Department. This website was created to assist those wanting to learn more about special education in EDUHSD and to serve as an informative resource for the community.

Our mission is to provide appropriate, high quality, evidence-based least restrictive environment supports and services to students, staff and families.

Although information and resources will continue to be added and updated, it is our hope that parents, staff and community stakeholders find this website/blog useful in creating environments that result in positive outcomes for all students with disabilities.

EDUHSD Provides:

A full continuum of special education services, based on individual needs: General Education with supplemental Aids and supports, Designated Instruction and Services (DIS), Resource Specialist Program (RSP), Special Day Classes and Centers (SDC), Nonpublic School Services (NPS) and state schools
Access to the general curriculum
Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Research based interventions, methodologies, accommodations and modifications
Transition opportunities through the WorkAbility I Program
