The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a college program offered at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. Military. In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, participants, or cadets, commit to serve in the Military after graduation. Each Service branch has its own take on ROTC.
The El Dorado High School ASVAB Test is offered for two reasons:
Career Exploration:
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is the only career planning resource that allows students to explore multiple paths to success - college, certificates, apprenticeships, licensure programs, or the military - all in one place
Military Qualification:
The ASVAB is used to determine qualification for enlistment in the US Armed Forces (Military Occupational Specialties).
El Dorado will offer the ASVAB on campus in the Fall and Spring Semesters. Dates and registration will be available in September.
For more information on the ASVAB please visit their website at https://www.asvabprogram.com/.
The ASVAB is offered once each semester. Both ASVAB tests have concluded for the 2024-25 school year.
