Students are expected to treat themselves, their school, their classmates, and their teacher with respect. We are a classroom community, and we learn, grow, and explore together. There is no tolerance for bullying behavior. We are a safe, welcoming space that embraces mistakes, failure, and the process of learning! It is expected that we come to school ready to learn with a positive attitude, kind words and actions.
It is expected that students start to learn and be comfortable with logging into our school devices with their student number and password. We will be working on this in class throughout the year. Students are able to bring their own devices to use during times we are using technology. Please contact me for more details about bringing in your own device!
It is expected the students' agenda goes back and forth everyday to bring home communication, or homework. Typically I do not assign homework to students, they may on occasion want to do some extra practice, study, or complete work that was not done in class. Students will be given ample time in class to complete assignments as it is my belief home time is for family, and other extracurricular activities.
Work that receives assessment or grades will be put in the student's agenda to be brought home. It is expected that the work be looked at by parents, and sometimes be signed and returned. Marks will usually be given using our 4 point scale (1-4).I provide comments and ask questions throughout the learning process as well so my student's are given feedback as they are learning and creating.
