Dear Parents,
As a part of exploring Land Based Learning across Humanities and Math/Science, our grade 6 and 7 students will be visiting the pond area from time to time during the year.
The pond area (next to Buffalo Rubbing Stone and Save On Foods) will act as an extended work area for our students. Throughout the year, students will visit the area to partake in a variety of activities to support in-class learning.
Students will be made aware of upcoming pond trips to allow them to dress appropriately for weather conditions. We will be notifying our families of these trips by posting a notice on our blog in advance.
Our first visit to the pond will be tomorrow, September 14th. Please ensure that your child is dressed for the weather. It looks to be sunny and mild, but mornings have been brisk so a warm sweater/hoodie would be highly recommended.
