Plants for Food and Fibre Unit
Students checked out the Celery Osmosis lab on Tuesday and wrote up their observations and conclusions. This lab report will be marked.
Gummy Bear Osmosis Lab. Students set their gummy bear osmosis lab and made observations by weighing their gummy bears in the different solutions for Day 0, Day 1 and Day 2. On Friday students cleaned up and made conclusions.

Integers Introduction. Students made flip books to put their notes in for integers.
Basic Review questions on integers (graphing integers, integer pairs, ordering from least to greatest)

Plants for Food and Fibre Unit
Osmosis-Took notes on the concept of Osmosis. Students made role plays to act out their understanding of osmosis.
Reviewed Scientific Method. High Jump Lab in groups to practice our understanding of the scientific method.
Discussed Diffusion. Mrs. Honywood did a demonstration of food colouring in water. Students did a lab report to describe what they saw and make conclusions about what was happening.
Celery Lab. Mrs. Honywood put celery into flasks of water and water + food colouring to hopefully demonstrate the process of Osmosis. We will check out the celery on Tuesday and write up our observations and conclusions. This lab report will be marked.
Next Week: Celery Lab, Gummy Bear Osmosis Lab. Continue notes on Plant Processes (Making Food and Moving substances in and out of food).
