Dr. Anna Wise is the Associate Dean of Admission and Director of International Recruitment at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where students hail from 49 countries and represent 7% of the student population. She has recently completed her doctorate at Northeastern University and is a frequent contributor to the field of international higher education, serving in various capacities for NAFSA and Study Maryland. Dr. Wise has presented at conferences in 6 different countries, and has traveled to nearly 40 nations to assist international students in their pursuit of higher education. Cathy Tipton is the Director of Admissions at Missouri University of Science and Technology. A member of the Missouri S&T admissions staff since January 2004, Tipton oversees a staff of over 20 employees who are responsible for undergraduate admissions, including the recruitment of freshmen and transfer students. Tipton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Prior to becoming acting director in 2019, she led the admissions team’s efforts in freshman recruitment from 2008 to 2019, first as assistant director, then as associate director. Dr. Oksana Carlson joined Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in 2009. She provided leadership to the full-time MBA program, managed the portfolio of Master of Science programs, and Executive MBA. Since 2014, she has been leading Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s global collaboration initiatives in Asia.

Prior to joining the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Dr. Carlson managed the international programs at The George Washington University. Her professional experience includes international project development and project management at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, the Hyundai Business Center, and extensive work in business development with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Dr. Carlson is often invited as a guest speaker by universities in Asia, such as Chongqing Business and Technology University, Fuzhou University, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, and others. She also delivered talks and lectures on higher education in the U.S. and strategies for applicants to U.S. business schools, at the Education USA offices in Beijing, Shanghai (China), Seoul (Korea), and in Central Asia.

Prior to joining the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Dr. Carlson managed the international programs at The George Washington University. Her professional experience includes international project development and project management at Johns Hopkins Medicine International; the Hyundai Business Center, and extensive work in business development with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

She received a Doctor of Education degree with focus on International Education from the University of Minnesota, an MBA in International Business from the George Washington University (Washington, DC), and Master of Arts in Marketing and Journalism from the Far Eastern National University (Russia). Sarah Gonzales is Director of Graduate Programs at the Williams S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. At UNLV she is in charge of outreach and admissions for non-JD programs including the LLM in Gaming Law and Regulation. In addition to her work in higher education, Gonzales serves the NAFSA: Association for International Educators on their Trainer Corp team teaching Intercultural Communication in Practice, Admissions and Placement of International Students, and Assessment and Evaluation for International Educators. She has also taught Cross Cultural Negotiation and Conflict Management at Pepperdine Law for five years prior to joining UNLV, and is Coordinator of the Research Network for Families in Global Transition, a cross-cultural education and training organization for expats. Alexander Chang is currently the Director of Global Recruitment and Partnership at the Center for Global Engagement at San Francisco State University. Chang previously worked at San Jose State University, San Francisco State University, City College of San Francisco and University of California San Francisco Hospital and has extensive knowledge about the three public school systems in California. His work responsibilities come across admission counseling, international recruitment, and F-1 immigration advising.
