Opportunity for U.S. Higher Education Institutions:
The U.S. Mission to Algeria invites accredited American higher education institutions to express interest in collaborating on a range of initiatives in Algeria. Through partnership with our Public Diplomacy section, participating institutions can deliver entrepreneurship programs for small businesses (particularly family-owned businesses), develop innovative training programs, and build strategic partnerships with Algerian organizations.
Small businesses account for approximately 75% of the Algerian economy, presenting significant opportunities for impactful engagement and partnership. We are particularly interested in institutions with experience delivering certificate programs in entrepreneurship for small businesses. Also, since the predominant language of business in Algeria is French, it will be necessary to incorporate English language learning into the program on the front end. We anticipate that participants will not only get a certificate in entrepreneurship, but also a certificate of proficiency in introductory English language.
Leveraging EducationUSA's market intelligence and local networks, your institution can advance U.S. engagement while creating new revenue streams.
Interested institutions should submit a brief statement of interest highlighting relevant experience and proposed areas of engagement to Salima Hacene, shacene@educationusa.org
U.S. Saudi University Partnership Tour Spring 2026
The U.S. Mission in Saudi Arabia is organizing a selective U.S.-Saudi University Partnership Tour in Spring 2026 focused on emerging technologies and future-focused fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital skills, and innovation and interdisciplinary technology. This partnership-focused initiative builds on the success of the November 2024 U.S.-Saudi Higher Education Partnership Forum, which brought together more than 40 U.S. university leaders and senior Saudi government and higher education officials to explore long-term academic collaboration.
Designed for senior university leadership and strategic decision makers, the tour emphasizes institution-to-institution engagement rather than student recruitment. Participating institutions will meet with Saudi universities, government entities, research centers, and industry stakeholders to explore opportunities ranging from pathway programs and joint research to establishing a physical presence or branch campus in the Kingdom. Meetings will also provide insight into trends in the Saudi higher education landscape and the administrative processes involved in operating in Saudi Arabia, aligned with the country’s Vision 2030 priorities.
The program includes pre-tour virtual orientation sessions, followed by in-country visits to Dhahran, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The tour is structured around participation in the Human Capability Initiative Conference in Riyadh from May 3 to 5, 2026. Group lodging, coordinated ground transportation within Saudi Arabia for official tour activities, and curated meetings are included.
Institutions interested in participating are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on January 12, 2026, and submit an expression of interest by January 23, 2026. Selected institutions will be notified by January 29, 2026, with final registration and payment due by February 6, 2026. A second U.S.-Saudi Partnership Tour focused on gaming, sports, and entertainment is also planned for August 2026, with details to be shared once finalized.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the expression of interest form - HERE
