Welcome to the Year 3 Community Blog!
This blog will share the learning and activities of our Year 3 students throughout the year.
We hope you enjoy seeing what’s happening in our classrooms!
3A Teacher
Hello! I'm Ms Hargreaves and I'm very excited to be 3A's classroom teacher and the Year 3 Learning Specialist for 2025.
I have been at ACPS since 2018 and have even taught in South Korea!
I love football, Formula 1, playing golf and listening to music. I can't wait to get to know you all this year!
3A Teacher
I am so excited to be teaching 3A in 2025! I will be teaching part time in 3A on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I have been teaching at Aitken Creek Primary school since 2019. When I’m not at school, I’m running around after my two beautiful girls, Amelie and Isla and spending time with my husband. Our favourite things to do as a family are to travel in our camper trailer and spend time with our family and friends. I also love to bake, go for walks, and spend lots of time at the beach, rain or sunshine. I look forward to the year being filled with fun and lots of learning. I can’t wait for the new and exciting memories the year will bring us.
3B Teacher
Hi! I’m Mrs Owen and I’m so excited to be teaching 3B this year. This is my second year at ACPS, having taught Year 6 last year. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family, reading or baking. I’m looking forward to a great year with the Year 3 cohort!
3C Teacher
Hello families. My name is Mr Julian Springham and I am lucky to be teaching and working with 3C. I have been teaching at ACPS for three years, but have been a primary classroom, Science and P.E. teacher at many schools over the last 12 years. This school is a great community, where diversity, inclusion and positive learning and interpersonal experiences for all are celebrated and it is a privilege to learn about and work with the wonderful students, families and staff at Aitken Creek Primary School. I look forward to working with, supporting, and observing the Year 3s learn and grow this year.
3D Teacher
Hi, I’m Miss Thomas. I am teaching 3D this year and really enjoying it so far. I have taught Year One students at ACPS for the previous two years. So there are some very familiar faces around the Year Three cohort for me, which is lovely. I have taught students English in Japan for two years, and many years ago I lived in London for a few years. I play an unusual sport called roller derby! It’s fast and powerful. In my “spare” time, I love to go for walks along the creek near my house and I often take photos of animals and insects to show the students during our Monday community meetings. I am sure our students will have a successful and fun year!
3E Teacher
Hi, I’m Miss Phiri and I am so excited to be teaching Grade 3 this year. This is my fourth year at ACPS. I taught Grade 4 the last three years. I love to be creative through writing, art and dance. I am very adventurous and love to travel and visit palaces, towers and historic places.
3F Teacher
Hello, I'm Ms. Huang! This is my second year of teaching and I'm so excited to have 3F. I come from China and have been in Australia for almost 10 years. I live with my partner and have a cat (Guanguan). I love playing the piano, exploring nature, and watching documentaries. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
3A & 3B Education Support
My name is Ms. Nellie. I have four daughters who are my best friends, and I love working and having fun with my students.
I enjoy going on walks with my friends, soaking up the sunshine, and curling up with a good show when it’s cold outside.
3C & 3D Education Support
For over two decades, I thrived in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of professional cooking. But after 22 years as an executive chef, I traded my toque for a more relaxed, yet equally fulfilling, role: Education Support at Aitken Creek PS. My journey from a professional chef to Education Support has been a positive transition.
I'm a happy, friendly person, and I find immense joy in working with children. I believe in nurturing their curiosity and helping them unlock their potential. I've been blessed with two boys who are amazing kids. I enjoy painting and drawing on my spare time.
3E & 3F Education Support
Hi! I’m Prabhjot Kaur, and I’m excited to start my second year as an education support worker at Aitken Creek Primary School. I have two kids of my own, which fuels my passion for helping students reach their full potential and fostering a love for learning.
I enjoy working closely with our students, providing support in their academic journeys and creating an inclusive environment. Outside of school, I love reading and gardening.
I look forward to another great year with our amazing school community!
