2022 Prep information and transition

Welcome to the Warrandyte Primary School 2022 Prep Transition webpage. At Warrandyte Primary School, we pride ourselves on connecting with the community.

Despite the current challenges with COVID-19 over the past two years, we continue to strive to build relationships with the prospective parents and students by developing a webpage of resources which will help kindergarten children with their transition to primary school in 2022.

If you are yet to select a school for your child to attend in 2022, we encourage you to take our virtual tour and get in touch with our caring Principal, Nieta Manser on (03) 9844 3537

2021 - 2022 KINDER TO PREP STEPPING STONES ACTIVITIES

WITH STEPH AND KATIE

Under normal circumstances, we would welcome kinder children to the school for their Prep transition in 2022. As this is not possible at this time, meet our current Prep teachers Katie and Steph by viewing the videos below. Steph and Katie read a selection of books and provide some excellent follow up activities you can complete with your child.

how to wash a wolly mammoth

Join Steph and Katie as they read a step by step guide on washing a prehistoric Wooly Mammoth! Then, use your craft skills to create your own Wooly Mammoth.

The day the crayons came home

Steph shares one of her favourite books with us, as we learn about some crazy adventures that Crayons have. After reading, make a Crayon man who will have his own adventures!

The bad seed

A humorous story of a seed who can be a little naughty from time to time, but soon realises the importance of trying to do better. At the conclusion of reading, plant your own seed and watch it grow!

Interstellar cinderella

Steph reads aloud Interstellar Cinderella, a book that will inspire your child's inner engineering skills. At the end of the video, Steph demonstrates how to build a flying rocket of your own.

The very blue thingamajig

A beautiful story of acceptance and friendship is introduced by Katie and read by Eliza. After reading, use your mathematics skills to design a Thingamajig.
