How can I complete the testing at home?
In a regular classroom setting, students are given a bi-weekly test that aims to assess the content they have been working on and allows timely and regular feedback sessions to occur. This test normally involves questions that they complete with pen and paper, or questions they complete online via their Maths Pathway portal, or more likely a combination of both. In the case of remote learning:
Students will no longer need a code to access their test. Clicking the 'Start test' button will start it straight away.
Students will have access to 6 modules in their 'Early Access' cycle, allowing more time for test marking.
It is important that each student completes this test independently without help. That means no calculators, online searches (google etc.), summary sheets, or similar. This is so we can be sure that they have truly mastered the content that they have been learning. It's okay to get help to understand what the question is asking, but it's important they students do the work independently.
Please organise a quiet space to focus, free of distractions during the test.
The final step is for students to complete their reflection. They are able to do this as soon as the test is marked, and they don’t need a code.
