Physical Education at BEPS

The fundamental aim of the Physical Education program at BEPS is to instill a love of movement and exercise and to create lifelong particiaption in physical activity.

The Physical Education program at BEPS is underpinned by two key areas of the Victorian Curriculum. In particular:

  • The acquisition of movement skills, concepts and strategies to enable students to confidently, competently and creatively participate in a range of physical activities.

  • The idea that movement is a powerful medium for learning through which students can acquire and refine personal, behavioural, social and cognitive skills.

Students at BEPS in Years 4, 5 and 6 have the opportunity to particiapte in a range of Interschool Sports against other schools from the Brunswick region. These sports include: Cricket, Lacrosse, AFL Football, Soccer, Touch Rugby, T-Ball and Volley Catch.

Individual students also have the opportunity to represent BEPS and qualify for State Championships in Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country.
