This artwork explores the theme of “Home” through memory, nostalgia, and the importance of the people around me. My family is the centrepiece because they are the people I am closest to, while the surrounding cards contain meaningful messages from loved ones I value. I used drypoint printmaking by etching a  design into an acetate plate, applying ink, and printing it onto paper. I also incorporated collage by combining photographs, paper, and other materials to create layers and tell a personal story. Together, these techniques help express my connections, memories, and sense of belonging.

In this artwork, I wanted to express the idea that home doesn’t have to be a place or house. It could be someone or something that makes you feel loved or a sense of belonging. I used an etching tool on an acetate sheet to scratch in the image. I then applied ink, wiped it back and pressed it onto damp paper. In one of my prints I watercoloured the figure – an image of my girlfriend looking out the window of a car.
