Market Day

Each year Our Year 6 students conduct a real life marketing experience by holding a Market Day!
Students set up companies, select products, plan production sequences, then advertise, make and sell their products.Students will be working to produce products that will be advertised to the school community in the school hall.Their aim is to make a profit. All money raised on the day will fund the Year 6 Celebration Day!Each student, with a partner, forms a company and decides what they would like to make and sell. Students will list the required materials / ingredients, calculate costs and make plans for producing the items. After discussing and pitching their plans to their teachers, students organise the purchase of required materials and begin to make their products. In order to try to simulate real life trading practices, students are not be able to accept donations. They are expected to calculate all costs, including ingredients / materials and packaging. As a group their costs must not exceed $25. Therefore, students must keep itemised receipts/tax invoices which includes the store’s ABN. EFTPOS only receipts are not accepted We can't wait to see you on Market Day!
