A massive thank you to the families that ran the Wesley Hill Market Stall! The stall looked fantastic and was a fabulous opportunity to share our school spirit with the wider community. $920 was made on the day. What an epic achievement! Thanks again Maz & Emily for organinsing and for all of the parents and students who baked and crafted.
The evening that gave in so many ways! The joy of the lanterns shining in the dark, the delicious soup warming bellies (and hands!), sweet treats and another $578 raised! Thanks you to all that helped make the evening happen, especially Clare, & Krista, along with everyone who made soups and desserts. Thank you to Bakers Delight for supplying the bread rolls.

Twenty students from across the school joined the final leg of the Yoorrook Walk for Truth on Wednesday 18th June. Rory, Krista, Clare, Andy, Laura and Wendy joined Bernadette and Al and the students. It was an incredibly moving and inspirational day. Travis Lovett, Kerrupmara/ Gunditjmara man and Yoorrook Commissioner walked 504km from Portland to Parliament House to deliver the Yoorrook report, to the government. Over 5000 people walked on the final day, with 12000 joining at different points along the way. The Yoorrook Justice Commission heard evidence from First Nations and non-Indigneous Australians on the historical and ongoing impact of colonisation on First Nations people.
We were very excited to meet Aunty Eleanor Bourke, Wergaia/ Wamba Wamba elder who is Chari of the Yoorrook Justice Commission. She was kind enough to be in a photo with us.
Thanks so much everyone for a very special night! Special thanks to Kate for the amazing art work, poetry and artistic vision! Thanks to Clare and Krista for organising the food, for Tarryn for sharing insights and song and to everyone who came and helped make the evening so enjoyable!
We need a volunteer who can paint the backboard. Thanks to Dan who is going to sort out the nets!
