Sentral to Compass Transition
We are now using Compass as our parent portal provider. Please see the parent guide below for how to access Compass. This guide is also on our website and hard copies are available from the sign in desk in the hallway.
Emails & letters were sent home at the end of last term detailing login information and instructions. Please contact the office if you are needing assistance navigating the system.
Year 5/6 Camp Wilkin
The final payment for camp is due on the 28th of October. Please contact Kitty if you would like to arrange a payment plan.
The cost of the camp and bus has increased significantly since 2021. The school has offset the increase by subsidising the surfing lesson for all Chewton students, as we feel this is an exciting opportunity and important for fostering wellbeing and promoting resilience.
October is ADHD month, a time for spreading truth, understanding, and support.
It is also time to focus on the amazing people with ADHD in our lives.
Current understandings of ADHD are constantly evolving – with new research, personal experiences, and conversations.
I have ADHD and you can ask me questions about it!
Each week throughout October we will have a celebrity spotlight on ADHD role models we love. This week is….
GRETA GERWIG
The director, screenwriter, and actress, known for directing acclaimed works like Lady Bird, Little Women, and Barbie, revealed her ADHD diagnosis in an interview with The Guardian.
“As a kid, my mum was like, ‘Let’s sign her up for every activity. Let’s tire her out,’” she told the outlet. “I’ve always had a tremendous amount of enthusiasm. I was just interested in, like, everything. I had a really active imagination. I had a lot of really deep feelings. I was emotional.”
Detailed information to go home on Friday about all day rehearsal next Friday and the performance.
Tickets can be purchased here.
Each child will bring home a costume list for their character, but we would love to have some extras on hand to help fill the gaps.
We need 1870s, 1920s, 1960s & 1980s style clothes/costumes. If you have some items that we could borrow, please bring them to school in bags this term.
Please label them with your name and the era.
Thank you!
We are in great need of volunteers on the day and to help with the preparations.
Many hands make light work!
Get in touch with Ingrid or contact Kitty at the school.
