Chewton Primary School is situated on Djaara Country.
We acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung people, the custodians and caretakers of the land. We thank them for the care they have taken and continue to take of Country: the rivers, mountains, trees and animals. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
We commit to Be Brave and Make Change.

Are you able to make a cake or some biscuits for morning tea? Please contact Kitty or Bernadette if you can assist.
Please fill out the survey to have a say in whether we have full school uniform, optional school uniform or one day a week casual clothes. Survey is via Sentral. If you are unable to access, please contact the school. We need every family to tell us what your thoughts are following the trial. Some families loved it, some thought there was too much washing, some loved the hassle free mornings, some found the choice difficult. let us know what you think!
We would like to have a one-off market stall at Wesley Hill on Saturday 13th May, and another one-off at the Castlemaine Farmers Market in the second half of the year.
The purpose is to increase the visibility of our school in the community. Fundraising is secondary but we will still need some lovely things to sell (jams, garden produce from the kids, seedlings, crafty things, other ideas and donations welcome). We will have large photos that showcase our lovely school. Do you have a tressel table we could use?
Can you commit to spending one hour between 8:30-1:30 on Saturday 13th May?
Can you make a cake/ slice/ biscuits/ jam and drop off at school on Friday 12th May or at the market stall on Saturday 13th.
Shifts we need covered:
8:30-9:30 (Includes set up at 8:30)
9:30-10:30
10:30-11:30
11:30-12:30
12:30-1:15 (Includes pack up at 1pm)
Chewton Primary School now has social media. The purpose of this is to increase our visibility in the wider community, tell a positive story about our great little school and get more kids coming to our school in the bush.
Photos of children on social media will be minimal, and strict consent protocols will be followed. The idea is to show the wonderful school community and activity without focusing on the kids faces, but there may be the odd one now and then with approval.

Dear parents of Chewton Primary,
We would like to update you in that we've had to adjust our roll price from $3.30 each to $3.50 each to control our costs.
Parents will see this reflected in the prices when they order with School Lunch Online.
Thanks very much for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Matt and Yumi
