Windows 10 21H2 is now available for F12 build only Recommendation for remaining v1909s at your school:
F12-rebuild student devices
Allow staff devices to In-Place Upgrade wherever possible - so ALERT YOUR STAFF that have 1909 devices that this will be enabled at the end of May, right after NAPLAN testing window closes.
Are you using Apple Macs for NAPLAN testing? There is a new Lock Down Browser app that must be installed!

Windows 10 21H2 - both via F12-build and via In-Place Upgrade from existing v1909 will be available from early next week. Recommendation: For remaining v1909s at your school:

It's more than likely an available space issue and Powerwashing is the best option.
What's happening with the old Connected Classrooms in schools? Are the Tandberg/Polycom VCs still used?
Serious security issue for Google Chrome browser - Windows and Mac
Emergency update to version 99.0.4844.84 - will be automatically pushed out, but for any personal devices, it's worth checking for updates.
The update is also needed for Microsoft Edge, so check for updates on that too.

T4L Rollout deliveries - the ETA doc has had an update
Windows 10 v21H2 is about to be piloted by numerous schools. Following a successful trial, it will be made available as F12 rebuild and in-place upgrades - both for 1909 and 20H2 builds.
Photoshop and Premiere Elements are NOT included in the current Adobe enterprise agreement and existing installations must be removed before May.
As first announced in news.T4L at the end of term 3.

The fix for the Adobe sign-on on eT4L computers was pushed out to all managed devices at schools and in corporate offices. Devices that are at home and unable to join the DETNSW network will need to continue with the workaround.
I produced a couple of Getting Started with Yammer videos that are worth sharing with any staff at your school who are yet to discover what Yammer is and how they are missing out.
The TSO's Toolbox is a cool Wiki page put together in Yammer by Ondrej Zima, highlighting the various online tools that TSOs can use. This follows on from the handy pinned posts at the top of the ICT Support and Microsoft Teams groups.

With one week of school left, we only have limited time to identify all remaining "out-of-support" Windows devices at schools:
1607 and 1709 MUST be F12 rebuilt
1809 can be F12'd or allowed to run the eT4L In-Place Upgrade
Known issues with the IPU for Windows 10 v1809 devices:
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 - dock and webcam may not work. To fix, install the "17763" driver from here
Acer TravelMate x514 (advanced notebook) - Wireless driver missing. To fix install the Intel 9560 driver from here
HP EliteDesk 800 G2 (advanced desktop) - nVidia graphics driver missing. Still being confirmed.

What's New with Stu
The old script that was paused in April 2020 was resumed on Friday - Any managed Windows device that has not been used for more than six months had its DETNSW computer record disabled.
YouTube Restricted Mode - a pilot was run in 2020 with 24 schools to trial this across Kindergarten through Year 10. Following discussions with the Secondary Principals Council, it's been decided that YouTube will be opened to ALL high school students from the middle of Term 3. Years 7-10 will get Restricted mode, while Years 11-12 and staff will continue with their current access level.
Java SE and Flash Player are expected to be remotely removed from eT4L devices from 18 June 2021
Apple Caching Server - new Mac Mini M1 model now on EdBuy!
NOTE: While you can buy these now, it is essential that when purchasing, the Apple Caching Server is the ONLY item on your purchase order with Apple
It's recommended that you don't connect and turn on before the start of Term 3, while final configurations on the central JAMF Pro service are completed.

Since the new lock screen appeared last Thursday, 20H2 builds have sped up. We now have almost 90,000 complete!
It was at 65,000 last Monday
UDM update to allow for a 20 character alphanumeric Comment to be added to each device is scheduled for 10 June (assuming it's approved by the change management committee)
This will help with identifying each device either by age and/or owner
