Aim: To determine how the total resistance of a circuit changes as lamps are added in parallel.
Method: 1
. Construct a circuit (physically, or using a circuit simulator atTHIS LINK)containing one lamp as you have done previously. You must be able to measure the current through it. Record the current and note the brightness of the lamp.
2. Add a second lamp in parallel and again measure the current and note the brightness of the lamps.
3. Add a 3rd lamp in the same way.
4. Disconnect one of the lamps. What happens to the other lamps?

What happened as a light "blows"? Are these circuits useful for home lighting circuits?

2. Add a second resistor in parallel and again measure the current and the voltage (this time across both resistors). Record voltage and current.
