Chords occur when two or more notes are played at the same time. The Ukulele has four strings, so when we strum, we play four notes at a time.

Have a look at the chord box below. The vertical lines are the strings, and the horizontal spaces represent the frets. We hold down the string on the frets where the dots indicate to play that particular chord. Your Teacher has colour-coded them on the diagrams and also placed stickers on your Ukulele to help you.
