Spatial Distribution & Climate

Tropical rainforests are found on a few continents, such as South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Some examples of tropical rainforests found in these locations include the Amazon Rainforest (South America), the Daintree Rainforest (Australia), and the Indo-Burma Rainforest (Asia). The latitude of tropical rainforests is roughly 23.5°N, 23.5°S. 

A tropical rainforest climate is typically very hot, wet, and muggy. The average temperature is generally between 20°C - 25°C. Tropical rainforests receive the most amount of rainfall out of all biomes each year! With this being said, 2,000mm - 10,000mm of precipitation can fall over the course of one year.
