Operation Art, running for over 20 years, is an exciting annual initiative by the NSW Arts Unit that invites primary and secondary students across NSW to create artwork supporting the healing and recovery of children in hospital. Selected pieces are exhibited at the State Library of NSW, public galleries, and children’s hospitals, helping young patients feel supported and less frightened. This program celebrates young artists’ creativity, connects schools with the wider community, and highlights the powerful role of art in promoting well-being.
