CAPTURE THE FLAG GAME
On Wednesday Week 5 lunch, Year 9 PASS students (Landri, Summer, Isabella T and Selina) hosted a game of Capture the Flag on the school sports oval! Students actively participated in the game displaying their teamwork and sportsmanship with the blue team ultimately winning in the end, retrieving a total of 9 flags (Hooray!)
Great enthusiasm and eagerness were shown by all students as they constantly battled to snatch flags from other teams. Approximately 44 students from different year groups attended the 25-minute game where upbeat music was played to bring out an energetic atmosphere. Not only was this highly collaborative game an exciting way to lift the competitive spirit through the motivation of beating other teams, but students also had the opportunity to participate in physical activity while having lots of fun. As extra motivation, all participants received lollies at the end of the game and the winning team received a whole bag to share!
The feedback received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive with students showing a high level of enjoyment and enthusiasm. In fact, a participant even commented "When can we play again?" at the end.
Hopefully, this Capture the Flag game has inspired students to be more active around the school (and in their personal time) and has allowed them to have fun while exercising. It looks like they enjoyed the lollies too!!
