During Term 3 students will participate in the Check-in assessment.
The Check-in assessment is a NSW Department of Education online literacy and numeracy assessment available to support schools to assess and monitor student learning.
The assessment can supplement existing school practices to identify how students are performing in literacy and numeracy and to help teachers tailor their teaching more specifically to student needs. Students with disability may receive the same level of support during the assessment they would normally receive in the classroom.
The assessment will be scheduled for our Year 3-6 students during Weeks
All students complete a reading assessment and a numeracy assessment. Year 6 students will also complete a writing assessment.
Congratulations Billy!
Billy was absolutely sensational at the Mid South District Carnival, powering his way to second place in both the 100m and 200m sprints! His speed and determination have earned him a spot at the South Coast Regional Carnival later this term. We can’t wait to see you hit the track again, Billy — well done!
Congratulations Keeley!
We are so proud to share that Keeley has made her second South Coast representative team this year!
Last week, she shone in a highly competitive field to earn her place in the South Coast Girls Rugby League Team. What an incredible achievement, Keeley! Your talent, determination, and hard work are truly inspiring. Well done, Keeley!
Last Friday, as part of Public Education Week, we celebrated a day filled with inspiration and curiosity. Students and staff came to school dressed as professionals who inspire them, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
It was our honour to welcome a wonderful group of special guests who shared their stories and passion during our Spark Curiosity sessions. These guests included paramedics, helicopter paramedics, Toll ambulance helicopter rescue crews, nurses, orthopaedic nurses, dental nurses, artists and authors, builders, police officers, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, graphic designers, football operations managers, and flight attendants.
It was truly inspiring to hear first-hand from these amazing professionals about what ignited their passion for their careers. This event sparked curiosity and motivation among our students, encouraging them to dream big and explore many exciting career paths. It was also very humbling that these professionals would give up their own personal time for our students to create such a rewarding experience.
