Today, we take a moment to celebrate an exceptional leader and educator on Primary Principals Day! We are incredibly lucky to have Mrs Ramsay at the helm of Barrack Heights. Her unwavering dedication, passion for education, and commitment to our students and staff make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Mrs Ramsay inspires us every day with her vision and guidance, always encouraging us to strive for excellence. Her support and leadership create a nurturing environment where both students and teachers can thrive. We are truly thankful for her hard work and the positive impact she has on our school community.
Let’s take this opportunity to show our appreciation for all that she does. Thank you, Mrs Ramsay, for being such an amazing Principal!
A big Welcome to Mr Luke Maples who was successful in being appointed as our 3-6 Relieving Assistant Principal through an expression of interest process. Mr Maples will be with us for the remainder of the year and comes to us from Hayes Park Public School. Mr Maples brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise in the Stage 2 and 3 space and we are looking forward to introducing him to our BHPS community on our Open Day.
Welcome Mr Maples.

Dear Parents and Community,
We are pleased to inform you that our main entry gate, Gate C, is now fully operational and running electronically again throughout the day.
For the safety of our students, we kindly remind you of the following procedures:
Please call the office for admission to the school whenever Gate C is closed.
Parents or responsible adults accompanying children should hold the gate closed after entering or exiting until it locks. The gate will beep until it has locked, so please ensure it is held closed until the beeping stops.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as the gate is there primarily for the safety of our students.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Stage Three and Kindergarten started a buddy program this week.
The children had a wonderful afternoon getting to know each other, playing some great STEM and strategy games.
Last week, Nharrawangay & Wuri students participated in the St George Illawarra Dragons 'The Best You Can Be' health and wellbeing program.
The players are in such a unique position whereby they can promote and encourage the physical, cultural and intellectual welfare of young people in our community. 'The Best You Can Be' program assists teachers in encouraging our students to make positive choices around health and wellbeing, and we're thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring effort.
This week, we’re focusing on the importance of being engaged in our learning. We encourage all students to actively participate in every lesson, discussion, and activity, giving their best effort. By embracing these learning opportunities, students not only enhance their own educational journey but also contribute to a positive and dynamic classroom environment. Let’s work together to make this week a great one filled with enthusiasm and engagement!

We are reaching out to remind everyone of the importance of keeping track of personal belongings, specifically school uniforms. We have had quite an increase in calls and emails about missing hats and jackets.
To help manage this, we kindly ask that you take a moment to ensure all your child's belongings are clearly labelled with their name. This simple step can make a significant difference in returning lost items to their rightful owners.
We encourage you to remind your children of the importance of being responsible for their belongings. Please talk to them about the importance of putting their hat or jacket into their school bag when they take it off. By doing so, they can help keep track of their items and reduce the chance of these items going missing.
If by chance your child has accidentally brought home an item with another student's name on it, please return it to the school at your earliest convenience. Your cooperation in this matter will greatly assist us in maintaining a more organised and efficient environment for everyone.
Thank you for your attention and support in helping our students learn the importance of responsibility and care for their belongings.
Friendly reminder to please return borrowed Community Pantry crates
