Use Teams and Book Creator
All of these instructions can be found in our Teams team.
Create your own story that you can make into a graphic novel. You have until the end of the term to complete your graphic story.
Step One: Plan your story. Make sure it has a beginning, middle and end. Think about the characters, settings, conflict and resolution, etc. Ask yourself Who, What, Where, When, How, Why. And make sure you edit your work.
Step Two: Add your planning to the class notebook connected to Teams. This will make it easier to keep all of your work together. Or you can plan on paper - take a photo of your plans and add it to your notebook.
To access your notebook - click on the link at the top of your teams screen that says class notebook. Find the three books on the left of the notebook. Here you will find your notebook information - Click on your name and you will find pages that will come up in the column next to your name. Click on the plus sign at the bottom and create a new page. The title of your page will become the title in the column. You can add any planning work on this page. Just click on the page and a square will appear for you to type into. You can also insert pictures or other items that will assist with the building of your story.
Step Three: Don't make it complicated, but do ensure there is a story line.
Step Four: Join Book Creator. Go to https://bookcreator.com/ and log in with your Google Account.
Step Five: Once you are in book creator join the Stage 3 library called Graphic Novels using this code: M2J5XPT
Step Six: Start making your graphic novel - make sure you use the plan you have made up to help you keep to the story and on track.
Add any photos straight into your graphic story, if you have illustrations that you have drawn, you can bring them to school for us to scan. If you have a device available you could download Office Lens - it is a free download. This app is great to scan photos and documents that you would like digitised. Then add them to your story.
Good Luck.
