Term 2, Week 2, 2025
Hello, my name is Sally Rogers. I am Bobs Farm PS Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction person. I will be relieving for Mrs. Baxter until week 3, while she is away.
Welcome back to school all students and families.
It has been a very wet start to term 2!
Even though the students have had a restricted play area all students have settled in well to school after the term 1 break.
Many thanks to all parents and friends, especially our mums cleaning out the canteen in preparation for the election day BBQ and cake stall. Also thanks to our students for the Friday afternoon playground clean up. Great job ensuring our school ground are looking beautiful for visitors to our school on election day.
Our playground is absolutely water logged! But that doesn't stop the students at Bobs Farm PS from enjoying their school day. Many busy hands and minds worked together to create interesting and entertaining activities in the limited dry playground space during the wet first week of school.
Bobs Farm PS continues to set records for the Port Stephens area with our outstanding attendance. We are so proud of our students being so eager to get to school on time each day and come through the gates with big smiles on their faces. Keep up the great work everyone!
A reminder to all families that staff are not responsible for supervision until 8:30am each day. Students should not arrive at school before that time, please. The exception is for any student who comes on the early bus. Those students know to remain seated at the lunch tables until a teacher is on duty.
CHANGE TO AFTERNOON PICKUP ROUTINES - Students who are waiting for their parents to arrive in the afternoons, or who need to wait for a bus, will be seated at the lunch tables. Students will not be permitted to play in the afternoons, even if their parents are on site, as it makes it very challenging for staff to supervise those students who are still waiting to be collected or who need to get a bus. Please help us to ensure every child's safety by keeping children close to you at all times. Children have also been reminded that they need to stay in the immediate presence of their parents as they move to vehicles in the carpark.
Again, the staff carpark is not to be used by pedestrians at any stage, please.
These expectations are aimed at ensuring every child's safety. Please help us by being diligent in these areas at these busy times.
