This Creative Class is based on the project, Introduced Species 360. This collaboration between The Arts Unit and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra saw six 360 cameras embedded into the Sydney Symphony Orchestra's performance of 'Introduced Species' to give the viewer a unique and immersive experience of the performance.
In this class, you will explore a series of 3 lessons using the symphony ‘Introduced Species’ by Katy Abbott and performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
You will listen to and analyse excerpts of a contemporary orchestral composition and link them to the concepts of music.
You will also select a stimulus and complete your own composition in response to a current event or issue that matters to you.
I hope you enjoy this Creative Class.
To complete the activities, you'll need:
pen and paper
