- Challenge
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is a song from the 1964 Disney musical film, Mary Poppins. The word was made up by the Sherman Brothers who were the songwriters for the film.
Mary Poppins proclaimed it as a word for "something to say when you have nothing to say".
This mouthful of nonsensical syllables gives us a great challenge to master!
Are you ready for that challenge?
Before we begin, watch the students from the 2011 Schools Spectacular as they perform their version of the song 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'.
Pay particular attention to the section where they spell out the word (after the two-minute mark).
