NSW Syllabus for the Australian Curriculum English K−10 contains outcome and content statements across all stages that relate to types of sentences. This resource will support teachers in addressing these grammar requirements.

Learning across the curriculum

Learning across the curriculum content includes general capabilities that assist students to achieve broad learning outcomes as defined by NESA. General capabilities encompass the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours to assist students to live and work successfully in the 21st century. Every general capability has an associated icon. This resource references three of them, which are:

• critical and creative thinking
• information and communication technology capability
• personal and social capability.
