The music you choose shapes the theme, intent and overall impact of your performance. Thoughtful selection will enhance your choreography and support clear communication of your ideas.
When selecting music:
Choose music that is creative, engaging, and appropriate for the age, maturity, and abilities of your students.
Ensure the lyrics and overall intent align with the theme of your item.
All music and lyrics must be carefully screened and endorsed by the school principal prior to submission.
Songs containing inappropriate lyrics, themes or intent will not be accepted.
When editing or combining tracks:
Ensure sound levels are consistent throughout the track.
Avoid noticeable volume changes, abrupt cuts, clicks or pops.
Ensure your item remains within the allocated time limit.
It is strongly recommended that you bring a backup copy on your performance day!
Your final soundtrack will be required to be uploaded to the STDF26 - Teacher folder by Friday 22 May 2026 (Term 2 Week 5).
Please submit a separate music file for each item.
