Climate Graphs

What is climate?

• Climate is the atmospheric conditions that occur in a specific location. So, thats the weather conditions over a long period of time (normally at least a year)

• Climate includes; 

  • Temperature

  • Precipitation (rainfall)

So what is a climate graph?

• Climate graohs show us the temperature and rainfall (the climate!) of an area over a year. 

• The temperature us shown with a line graph (think about how you read the little red line on a thermometer) 

• The rainfall is shown as a column graph (think about the rain falling into the column and filling it up)
